We are excited to welcome everyone interested in joining Third Legend A or Third Legend Open for the 2027 season!
Our auditions will take place in person, but it will also be possible to submit a video if you are unable to attend in person.
Below, you will find all the information you need to properly prepare for our audition day.
2027 Season

In 2027, Third Legend A and Third Legend Open plan to participate in competitions within our local circuit, Arts en mouvement Québec.
Both teams will also participate in the following WGI events:
Salem, MA (February 13)
Bethlehem, PA (March 20–21),
WGI World Championships in Dayton, OH (April 7–10).

The exact membership dues for the season will be confirmed later this summer. Third Legend is proud to offer one of the most affordable opportunities in our sport, thanks in large part to the support of our valued partners and sponsors.

Third Legend A practices on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with some practices ending later in the evening, as well as occasional camp weekends on Saturdays and Sundays.
Third Legend Open practices every other weekend through the fall. Each camp begins on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. and ends on Sunday at 4:00 p.m. Starting in January, practices will take place every week leading up to the WGI World Championships, with some Sundays off.

Third Legend offers a bilingual environment (French/English) and is proud to share its culture with everyone who wishes to be part of this experience.
To enter Canada, participants must have the required travel documents, such as a passport. Residents of New York State may also use an Enhanced Driver’s License. For more information, please visit the website of the Canada Border Services Agency.

Complete the registration form.
Continue practicing regularly and working on your physical conditioning so you can arrive at auditions feeling prepared and confident.
Do not hesitate to contact the Third Legend team if you have any questions regarding the 2027 season, the audition process, or the requirements.
During the Audition
The day will go by quickly, so it is important to stay focused and engaged throughout the entire audition process.
Be sure to stay hydrated and eat enough to keep your energy up throughout the day.
All participants are required to audition in dance and flag. Rifle and sabre auditions are optional. Throughout the day, you will learn technical exercises and choreography that you will perform in both full-group and small-group settings.
Additional factors will also be considered, including:
Being in good financial standing with any previous winter guard organizations;
Having a clear plan for paying your membership fees;
Being prepared to commit to the team's schedule throughout the season.
Beyond technical skills, we are looking for passionate members with a positive attitude who value respect, teamwork, learning, and having fun.
After the Audition
Audition results will be communicated no later than Sunday, September 13.
If you receive a contract, you should be prepared to attend your group's first official rehearsal according to the following schedule:
Third Legend A: September 19
Third Legend Open: September 19–20
If you do not receive a contract, don't be discouraged! Auditions are challenging, and every experience is an opportunity to learn and grow. Flag: 5'6" aluminum pole with a 33" × 54" flag
You are welcome to use your own equipment if you prefer. Otherwise, Third Legend will provide all the equipment you need for the season.
